Cusco – Puno (08 Days – 07 Nights)
Itinerary
Day 01: City Tour
Upon arrival in Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca culture, we will be waiting for you at the airport or terminal to take you to the chosen hotel; While savoring a cup of mate de coca, which helps with acclimatization at 3,400 meters above sea level, the transfer will give you information about the tours or trips you will make during your stay in Cusco. In the afternoon pick up to start your City tour (01:50 pm), we will visit the archaeological sites that surround our city; the Qoricancha, known as the temple of the sun that in the Inca era was the most important religious center of all the Tahuantinsuyo (original name of the Inca land), in this place you will find one of the finest Inca stone constructions; the next place to visit will be Sacsayhuaman located in the upper part of Cusco where we will have a nice view of the city, we will admire the type of construction cyclopean made by the Incas, where we will find some walls made with stones that weigh between 5 to 128 tons ; continuing our tour we will arrive at Qenqo ceremonial place dedicated to the Pachamama (Mother Earth), this is a natural formation that the Incas used, carved and adapted to carry out their religious ceremonies and mummification, then we will continue to Pukapukara a fort where the control of income of people who came from the jungle to the city of Cusco and to end our tour we will visit Tambomachay temple dedicated to water, where a series of aqueducts, canals and waterfalls tell us what this place could have been, then we will return to Cusco approx. 7:00 p.m.

Day 02: Sacred Valley of the Incas
After breakfast we will pick you up from your hotel to head towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will make a stop on the way to have a classic view of the Urubamba River meandering through crop tapestries. We will arrive at the colorful market of Pisaq, where we will have free time to interact with the inhabitants and artisans, in addition to making purchases of beautiful handicrafts and souvenirs, then we will go up to the top of the mountain where we will find the archaeological center of Pisaq, impressive construction built in the Inca era, here we can see the great work achieved by the Incas through an endless number of agricultural terraces, aqueducts, roads, channeled water channels, cemeteries and bridges, which adorn all the mountains around them. We will continue to Urubamba where we will have lunch buffet at a local restaurant. Then we will visit Ollantaytambo, a town of Inca origin with remarkable canals and cobblestone streets. In the high part of the mountain is its religious center where the temple of the sun continues to project its grandeur. Finally we went to Chinchero, a town dedicated to the cultivation of potatoes and the production of magnificent handmade fabrics with ancestral techniques, they will show us how they obtain the colors of natural form of roots, leaves, fruits, etc. We will appreciate the development of these magnificent works. Return to the City of Cusco at approximately 7 pm. (B, L)

Day 03: Cusco – Aguas Calientes
The tour starts in the morning, we go to the train station located in the town of Ollantaytambo (2 hours from Cusco). We board the train for the town of Aguas Calientes a journey of approximately 2 hours. It passes through a picturesque Andean landscape as are the traditional Villas, streams of crystal clear water, which form the Vilcanota River in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The train continues descending towards the Cloud Forest following the rapids of the Urubamba River, there are brief views of several Inca sites along the way. Finally, the train stops at Aguas Calientes, populated by Machu Picchu. Upon your arrival our collaborators will assist you to take you to the chosen accommodation (afternoon free) at night you will meet the guide at the Hotel de Machupicchu who will provide you with the information for your tour the next day. Day 04: Machupicchu “Lost City of the Incas” -Cusco
Early we will go to the archaeological center of Machupicchu, the trip will be by bus approximately 30 minutes, the guide will be waiting for us at the entrance gate of the Machupicchu complex, the tour will be for an approximate time of 2 hours, then they will have free time (the park is open until 5:00 p.m.), in this free time you have the option to revisit the magnificent citadel on your own and if you wish you can climb the mountain of Huaynapicchu (If you booked in advance), after free time We will take the return bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch. We will have to be at the train station half an hour before as scheduled for the departure of our train, to return to Ollantaytambo, where we will be waiting for our transportation to bring us back, we will be in Cusco at 10:30 pm.

Day 06: Cusco – Andahuaylillas – Raqchi – La Raya – Puno
We will be picked up from the hotel very early and we will go to the terminal where we will board our tourist bus to Puno, it is one of the most spectacular trips to explore the “Andes”. Visit the Church of Andahuaylillas called the small Sistine Chapel of America, due to the large number of works of art that possess and decorate the interior of its facilities, found paintings of the School Cusqueña seventeenth century, continued with the trip, our next stop It will be Raqchi, known for its Temple of God Wiracocha. We will have lunch buffet on the road near the town of Sicuani. We will reach the highest point between Cusco and Puno, the Raya 4.335msnm where we can see the mountain peaks that are usually covered with snow, from where we will have excellent photographic views, finally as the last point of visit before reaching Puno, Pucara will be famous for its crafts and pottery, especially by the famous Pucara bulls. We are arriving apuno approximately 5 pm. (B, L)

Day 07: Lake Titicaca – Uros Floating Islands And Taquile.
In the morning we will be picked up from the Hotel to start the excursion in Lake Titicaca, we will visit as the first point the floating islands of the Uros, also called “The People of the Lake” these islands are built with layers of totora that are anchored, serve as homes and centers of commerce for the natives, who move on rafts built by hand. We will continue our journey to the Island of Taquile, where the community will receive us kindly, a place that still keeps alive its traditions, customs and colorful clothing in the old style. The islanders are skilled artisans and capture in each work surprising techniques developed over centuries by their ancestors. We will enjoy a delicious lunch prepared with the products that they harvest; then we will start the return to Puno arriving approximately at 5 pm. (B, L)

Day 08: Puno – Airport.
