Tiwanaku – Sun `s Island (2 Days / 1 Night)

Itinerary

DAY 1: LA PAZ – TIAHUANACO – COPACABANA.

The trip starts at the hotel in La Paz, at 08:00 hours passengers are picked up to travel by road to the enigmatic Tiahuanaco Archaeological Site. Once there you will visit the Ceramic and Lithic museums, the Akapana Pyramid, the Kalasasaya Temple, the Puerta del Sol and the Ponce and Fraile stelae. After the visit to this Archaeological Site, the trip to Copacabana continues. During this tour you can see the magnificent landscape of Lake Titicaca. Halfway, take a boat to cross the Strait of Tiquina and continue towards Copacabana, this last stretch lasts about 3 hours. He spends the night in Copacabana. (L, D).

DAY 2: COPACABANA – SUN `S ISLAND
– LA PAZ.

In the morning, a boat is shipped to the southern part of the Isla del Sol. You will arrive at the Yumani port and during the trek you can visit the Garden of the Incas with its water fountain or Fuente de la Juventud. Continue to descend the famous staircase leading to the port where the boat embarks to sail towards the archaeological complex Pilkokayna. In this complex you have a short walk of 20 minutes, then continue sailing until you reach Copacabana, where you have time to visit the famous Cathedral of the Virgen Morena, the main square and if time permits, the Horca del Inca. Lunch and return to the city of La Paz or if you want to start the trip to Puno, Peru. (B, D)
