Tour Titicaca Lake Experiential (02 Days – 01 Night)
Titicaca Lake is the highest navigable lake in the world at 3810 masl and the largest freshwater lake in Latin America. Known as Sacred Lake of the Incas, Lake Titicaca is a wonderful attraction for nature lovers, to enjoy an unforgettable view of the Cordillera Real de los Andes. This lake offers a varied fauna composed mainly of ducks, fish such as suche, pejerrey and trout, among others. Its flora is represented by 12 varieties of aquatic plants highlighting totora, yana llacho and duckweed.
The lake has 36 islands, among the most important are those of Taquile and Amantani, in Peruvian territory, and the islands of the Sun and Moon in Bolivian waters.
Itinerary
Day 01: Tour lake Titicaca and Floating Islands of Uros and Taquile (Overnight).
After breakfast at 8:00 am approx. Puno Transfer to the main harbor, where we boarded a motorboat. Travel by motor boat bound for Uros (30min journey), also called “The People of the Lake” These islands are built with layers of reeds and used as home and trade centers for the natives of the same name who mobilize rafts handmade. We said goodbye to the Uros for onward travel to the island Amantani (2hrs and 50 min boat ride).
Arrival in Amantani and meeting with Quechua families who offer their cozy homes and prepare lunch (typical). Later walk around the island to visit the Pachatata (Pre-Inca Temple) and observe the daily experience of these natives.
At night, after dinner we participated in a local festival organized by the natives.

Day 02: Tour Taquile Island and return to Puno.
After breakfast, at 8:00 am we left by boat to Taquile Island (first hour), where the community kindly welcomes tourists, keeping alive their traditions, costumes and colorful the old fashioned way. The islanders are skilled artisans and each job in the techniques developed over the centuries by their ancestors. Finally we arrived at the island port to board our motorboat. 4:00 pm: Arrival at the main port of Puno. and you will be transferred back to your hotel in Puno.
