Trek Lares – Machu Picchu (4 Days – 3 Nights)
An impressive adventure that offers the Lares route to MACHU PICCHU, recommended for people who like to walk and enjoy nature. We will cross different altitudinal floors surrounded by magical mountains called “APUS”, as well as subtropical valleys, scenic lagoons and thermal medicinal baths where we could take a bath before starting our trek. We will find archaeological remains and different Andean communities that still preserve Inca traditions such as fabric made of wool from alpaca and llama, with natural dyes made by hand. We will observe the crops of different Andean products like potato, quinoa, maize, etc. We will learn about their customs
Itinerary
DAY 1: CUSCO – LARES – WACAWASI.
We will pick you up from your hotel at 6:00 a.m. Approx., then go to our transport to the town of Lares, on the journey we can appreciate the majestic sacred valley, then we will arrive at the province of Calca, passing through the small villages of Totora and Maucaupata where the villagers wear costumes typical, and are devoted mostly to textiles, agriculture and livestock. Finally after 4 hours approx. We arrive at Lares (3250 masl) we will visit the thermo-medicinal baths to take a refreshing bath. After lunch and having contacted our carriers we will start the trek to our first WACAWASI camp (3900msnm) where we will have our first dinner.

DÍA 2: WACAHUASI– IPSAYCOCHA – PATACANCHA.
After breakfast, we will start to climb to the ABRA IPSAY (4,400 masl). On the way we will be able to observe different peasant communities, as well as different Andean customs and traditions. These communities use ancestral techniques passed down from generation to generation in their agriculture and textile work. This is exemplified through their use of colorful designs inspired by their gods and Andean symbols. We will arrive at a beautiful lagoon called IPSAYCOCHA, where we will eat lunch, After a nap, we will continue towards the town of PATACANCHA (3,650 m.a.s.l.) until we will arrive at QELCANCA where we will have dinner and spend the second night.

DAY 3: PATACANCHA– WILLOQ – OLLANTAYTAMBO.
After a fortifying breakfast, we will continue our walk towards the small town of WILLOQ (3,400 m.a.s.l.). During the course of our walk, we will be able to observe animals such as llamas and alpacas, as well as the archaeological remains of QOCHAPATA and PUMAMARCA. At approximately 02:30 p.m. we will arrive at the village of OLLANTAYTAMBO (2,850 masl). We will have free time to visit this wonderful village that still has its Inca structure. After lunch we will board the train to the village of AGUAS CALIENTES (2,050 masl). We will spend the last night in lodging with a private bathroom and hot water.

DA 4: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO.
Very early we will take the bus to the Inca citadel of MACHU PICCHU to be able to see the sunrise, and then have the guided tour of approximately 2 hours with our expert guide, after which we will have free time to visit the places that you most like and can explore this wonder of the world, then in coordination with our guide we will return to Aguas Calientes to board the return train to the station in Ollantaytambo where our staff will be waiting for you to return by bus to the city of Cusco.
